The AV reciever has a TrueHD and a DTS-MA lights on the front panel, but they never light up, I assume this is because PowerDVD is is only passing through Dolbly Digital or DTS as oposed to TrueHD or DTS-MA.īasically the main reason for buying the new powerDVD ultra mk2 and the reciever was to get TrueHd and DTS-MA, which I am not currently getting.Īny help is appreciated and here are my specs: This is regardless of the audio settings on the blu-ray's, i have tried using the disk settings to say i want to use the TrueHD or DTS-MA audio streams, but i still only have the two above audio options. In power DVD under the audio options, I have selected the speaker environment as HDMI, but the only options that I get when trying either blu-ray are: Non decoded Dolby Digital/DTS audio to external device, or PCM decoded by powerDVD. I have been testing with the nighmare before christmas blu-ray ( Dolby TrueHD PCM 7.1 soundtrack ) and Ghost in the shell 2.0 ( 6.1 DTS-MA soundtrack ). The Nvidia card was on the cyberlink list of components needed for HD audio, and the AV reciever will decode TrueHD and DTS-MA, and 1.3 HDMI lead should be ok for HD audio transfer. It was my hope to get TrueHD and DTS-MA from the setup. I recently purchased powerdvd 10 ultimate mk2, an nvidia GT240, 1.3 HDMI lead, and a sony STRDA2400ES 7.1 AV reciever.
